Michael Bublé & His Dad's Matching Mullets Are Honestly Delightful (PHOTO)
The Canadian singer did say on The Voice that he "sported that mullet for most of my life."
Once upon a time, long before he started releasing romantic songs that’d be played at weddings for years to come, Michael Bublé rocked an epic mullet. And it’s a look he appears to have fond memories of, especially after he blew up a photo of himself with a neck-length mullet on The Voice.
Bublé revealed on The Voice that he “sported that mullet for most of my life,” and he’s posted photos on social media as further proof. In June 2024, for example, Bublé revealed that he and his dad had the same hairstyle during his childhood.
Michael Bublé and his dad were an iconic duo with matching mullets
In honor of Father’s Day in 2024, Bublé posted a childhood photo of himself reading a book with his dad, Lewis Bublé. “Happy Father’s Day, partner! You’re a fashion icon!” he captioned the throwback photo. “Cheers to rocking a bolo tie and matching mullets… I’ve been chasing this high ever since.”
While Bublé certainly rocks a more polished look these days, it doesn't seem like his fans would mind if he started rocking a mullet again. “Bring it back!” one fan commented on the photo, while another wrote, with a heart eyes emoji, “ok HAIR.” One more said, “Love the matching mullets.”
Growing up with a mullet might’ve given Bublé some thick skin, as he joked on TikTok that he’s “mullet-proof” against internet trolls.
But before Bublé matched his dad in the hair department, the Canadian crooner styled his golden blonde locks in a wispy '80s style just like his mom, Amber Bublé. In an adorable childhood photo of the singer with his mom, Bublé thanked the matriarch of his family on Instagram for teaching him “how to feather my bangs to get that ‘Effortless look.’”

Bublé’s parents were not only influential when it came to their son's hair, they also encouraged him to pursue a career in singing. While Bublé worked for six years as a fisherman on his father’s boat, an experience he said he "loved" during an interview on the Howie Mandel Does Stuff podcast, his parents didn’t want that to be his future.

“My dad would say to me over and over again, ‘Son, I want you to work with your head not your hands ... Don’t do what I’m doing, this is too hard, it’s too this, too dangerous, too volatile,’” he told Mandel, adding his parents felt he “had enough talent to make a living at [singing]" and were "thrilled" when she started to see some success.
Of course, now with five Grammy Awards to his name, they were right!
