Somehow Michael Bublé Pulled Off a "Fever" Duet with Elvis 38 Years After His Death
It's a duet that shouldn't even be possible, but the Voice Coach made it happen.
Through the magic of modern technology, The Voice's Michael Bublé technically has a duet with Elvis Presley in his impressive catalog — and it's every bit as amazing as you'd expect.
In 2015, RCA Records released If I Can Dream, a compilation album of archived Presley vocal recordings and new musical accompaniment by the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra. The gem of the album is "Fever," featuring vocals from Bublé that will stop you in your tracks. There's something about Bublé's silky-smooth voice that perfectly complements the King's vocals — and music fans everywhere will be blown away by the track (if they haven't already).
For fans who always wondered what a duet like this would sound like, Bublé doesn't disappoint. He's pitch-perfect as he takes over a verse for The King, and it seems like the two icons were in the same studio recording simultaneously.
Bublé is at his sultry best in the song, and it's no surprise the star opens many of his live shows with a performance of it.
In a short interview preceding the song on the official Elvis Presley YouTube channel, Bublé revealed his admiration for not only "Fever" itself, but for Presley himself, who Bublé considers the greatest artist ever.

"I've always loved it, I think it's an incredibly sexy, smoldering sort of song," Bublé said of the track.
Recording such a unique song was a once-in-a-lifetime moment for the Voice Season 26 winner, and hearing him beam with joy as he talks about Presley is so profound!
"For me to do this today is one of the greatest things I've ever done," he confessed. "This is a highlight of my career. Even though he's not here and it's a virtual duet, I know he's still here, so to be surrounded by that aura and just to get to sit here and close my eyes and know that I get to sing a duet with who I consider to be the greatest artist of all time is just absolutely huge for me."
Here's what to know about "Fever"
Originally recorded by American R&B artist Little Willie John in 1956, "Fever" was a commercial success, reaching the #24 position on the Billboard Hot 100 and topping the pop charts.
However, the most recognizable version of the song was released by Presley, who recorded his own version a few years later and as part of his 1960 album Elvis Is Back!
Many other prominent artists have covered the iconic song over the years, including Beyoncé, Madonna, and Bette Milder.
