Where Are the 2025 World Figure Skating Championships?
The 2025 ISU Figure Skating Championships are returning to the U.S. for the first time since 2016.

It is about that time: the 2025 ISU World Figure Skating Championships are right around the corner!
In this annual event, which has been going on 1896, some of the greatest figure skaters from across the globe will come together to compete for coveted international titles.
As the countdown narrows to the 2026 Winter Olympics, this event is crucial as the final placements will play a huge part in deciding how many athletes each country will send to the Milano-Cortina Games.
Where is the 2025 World Figure Skating Champtionship taking place?
The event will be hosted in Boston Massachusetts at the TD Arena, home of the NBA's Boston Celtics and NHL's Boston Bruins.
This is the second time that Boston has hosted the high-stakes competition, the first being in 2016.
In fact, the competition rarely takes place in the United States. Out of the 118 times the event has occurred, this year marks the 14th time it’s been hosted in the U.S.; most of the U.S.-based events have been held in Colorado Springs, Colorado.
When is the 2025 World Figure Skating Championships?
The 2025 championships with span over five days, from March 25 through March 30. Tuesday, March 25 is a non-competition day, only showcasing an official practice of all competing skaters. Here's the schedule:

Who is representing the U.S. in the 2025 World Figure Skating Championships?
The U.S. roster is packed with both talent and experience: 2025 national champion Amber Glenn, 18-year-old world silver medalist Isabeau Levito, and 2022 Winter Olympian Alysa Liu will be competing in the women's individual event.
For Liu, this is her first World Championship event since coming out of retirement in 2024. She's still just 19.
In the men’s individual competition, Team USA will be led by reigning world champion Ilia Malinin, 2025 national silver medalist Andrew Torgashev, and 2014 Olympic bronze medalist Jason Brown. This will be Brown’s first competitive performance since withdrawing from the 2025 U.S. Figure Skating Championship, citing a difficult adjustment to equipment changes.
Competing in pairs will be Ellie Kam and Danny O’Shea, as well as Alisa Efimova and Misha Mitrofanov, who recently took home their first U.S. title at Nationals.
And in ice dance, the U.S. is sending three teams: reigning world champions Madison Chock and Evan Bates; Caroline Green and Michael Parsons; and Christina Carreira and Anthony Ponomarenko.
