Tournament season is officially upon us. The trademarked "March Madness" of the NCCA Basketball Tournament might not be upon us just yet, but right now, athletic conferences are in the midst of their own brackets to determine each conference champion, and that includes the always interesting Big Ten Conference.
Beginning this week, 15 teams from the Big Ten will face off in a tournament to find out this year's men's college basketball conference champion. Will defending champs Illinois find a way to repeat? Will conference leaders Michigan State come out on top? We'll find out soon enough, and we can start the journey with the first round of games live and exclusively on Peacock this Wednesday.

When is the 2025 Big Ten Men's Basketball Tournament?
The 2025 Big Ten Men's Basketball Tournament takes place from March 12-16.
What are the seeds in this year's Big Ten Men's Basketball Tournament?
Fifteen of the Big Ten's 18 member schools have qualified for the tournament in men's college basketball, and they've been given seed numbers according to their records during the regular season. The top four seeds automatically advance to the Quarterfinals, while seeds 5-9 begin the tournament in the second round.
In the first round, which happens Wednesday March 12, seeds 10-15 will compete across three games, with the winners advancing to join the five times already in the second round. That means four games in the second round, another four in the quarterfinals, two in the semifinals, and finally the championship game.
