Who is Noah Eagle? What to Know About NBC's New NBA Play-by-Play Announcer
NBA action is coming to NBC and Peacock this fall, and the network just added another key voice to its team.
When the 2025-2026 NBA season begins next fall, it'll feature an all-new slate of coverage by NBC and Peacock, including Peacock-exclusive live games and, by 2026, the arrival of Sunday Night Basketball on NBC. That means that NBC Sports has been building up a dream team to pull off their coverage, and this week they added another key name.

NBC Sports announced on February 25 that Sports Emmy-winner Noah Eagle, a rising star presence in the NBA, the NFL, and the Olympic Games, has joined the network's 2025-2026 NBA broadcast team. Eagle joins a crew of all-stars who'll be uniting to bring the NBA to NBC for the first time in years.
Who is Noah Eagle?
Even if you don't know Noah Eagle's by name just yet, you've almost certainly heard his voice. A play-by-play announcer with both radio and TV experience, he's been working steadily in the professional sports world since 2019, and recently called the Men's Basketball Gold Medal Game between the United States and France at the Paris Olympics. Eagle was the play-by-play broadcaster who declared Stephen Curry's game-sealing three-pointer a "golden dagger" in Paris, and his work there and beyond in 2024 earned him his first Sports Emmy for Outstanding Personality/Emerging On Air.
“I couldn’t be more excited to be a part of the NBA as it returns to NBC and begins a new chapter on Peacock,” Eagle said in a press release. “This league has been a massive passion of mine for as long as I can remember. Working intimately in the NBA over the last six seasons has only grown that love. I can’t wait to get started with our talented team and be a part of the soundtrack to more iconic moments on the hardwood.”

A graduate of Syracuse University, Eagle began working as the radio play-by-play announcer for the NBA's Los Angeles Clippers in 2019, then began calling Brooklyn Nets games on the YES Network. In 2023 he joined the NBC Sports, and since then his work has included everything from Big Ten Football to 3x3 Olympic basketball to an NFL Wild Card game.
NBA on NBC's new broadcasting team
Eagle joins a broadcasting roster that already includes Jamal Crawford and Reggie Miller as game analysts with Mike Tirico serving as lead play-by-play voice. Emmy Award-winning producer Frank DiGraci will serve as coordinating producer for NBC Sports’ NBA coverage.
What to know about the NBA on NBC
Live NBA action will return to NBC in October of 2025, with two nights of action every week across NBC and Peacock throughout the NBA season. Under NBC Sports' new agreement with the NBA, Peacock will air exclusive Monday night games each week, while NBC will host nationally televised games on Tuesdays. Beginning in 2026, the agreement will expand to include the newly created Sunday Night Basketball, expanding NBC Sports' coverage to three consecutive nights.
Eagle joins a broadcast team for this venture that already includes NBA legends Reggie Miller and Jamal Crawford, as well as NBC Sports veteran Mike Tirico (who you'll know from Sunday Night Football and NBC's Paris Olympics coverage) as the lead play-by-play announcer.
