What to expect from the Iowa Hawkeyes vs. the Ohio State Buckeyes Big Ten Tournament game?

Iowa and Ohio State enter the Big Ten Tournament seeded at No. 15 and and No. 10, respectively, and that makes the Buckeyes a clear favorite in the matchup.

That said, don't count out the Hawkeyes. These teams have similar profiles and similar records, with the Buckeyes finishing the regular season just one win up on the Hawkeyes. The difference there, though, is that the Buckeyes have won two more games in conference play than the Hawkeyes, thanks to an offense that ranks fifth in the conference overall in terms of points per game. The hitch there? The Hawkeyes' offense ranks second in the Big Ten overall, and they're second in field goal percentage, making them efficient scorers.

So, where's the big difference maker? It's probably defense. The Buckeyes, to be clear, don't have an outstanding defensive force this season, but they look quite a bit better than the Hawkeyes, who rank last in the Big Ten (out of all 18 teams) in terms of points allowed, with nearly six points more per game than the Buckeyes' defense. If you take that stat and add it to Ohio State's offensive prowess, the Hawkeyes look to be in for some trouble. But in the Big Ten Men's Basketball Tournament, anything can happen.
