Reba McEntire Is Returning to TV With a New NBC Comedy: Details
The Voice Coach will be bringing a new comedy pilot to the network!
Reba McEntire has an exciting new project in the works.
The "Fancy" singer is bringing her acting and comedy chops to an upcoming NBC comedy series. She'll be starring in a new, multi-cam show that we can't wait to watch!
So, what is the new show about? While its title and release date are still unknown, we have a brief, intriguing description of what's to come: "Reba inherits her father’s restaurant and is less than thrilled to discover that she has a new business partner in the half-sister she never knew she had."
This will be McEntire's second go at a family-oriented sitcom. She played the titular role, Reba, in the Emmy-nominated TV show of the same name, which ran from 2001 to 2007.

McEntire is also returning as a Coach for Season 25 of The Voice in February after making her red-chair debut on the show in Season 24.
In a 2023 interview with Newsweek, McEntire opened up about being the show's main country presence after Blake Shelton's departure.
"It's a lot of pressure, because nobody can replace Blake Shelton. He's a huge personality and a wonderful person. So I'm just getting in there, trying to have fun, and represent country music as best I can," she told the outlet.

Of the show in general, she said, "It's a well-oiled machine, so getting in at this time is marvelous. Everybody knows the game plan, from the crew, the producers. Everybody on the show is so nice, so sweet, and have been so helpful. I'm loving it."
As for her Season 24 Coaches, which included Gwen Stefani, Niall Horan, and John Legend, McEntire said, "Every day that we're working on The Voice, I'm learning more from them how to let 'em down easy if they don't get picked up, coach 'em, and if you can give them any advice whatsoever. Like if none of the Coaches turn around, they're going home immediately. And so it's good just to say, 'If you want to come back again, try it again next season, maybe a song that suits you, one that you're really comfortable with and that really shows your talent,' give them advice and encourage them to come back."
The Voice Season 25 premieres Monday, February 26 at 8/7c on NBC and will include Coaches Reba McEntire, John Legend, Chance the Rapper, and Dan + Shay.
