Reba McEntire Had an Impromptu Performance at Her Son Shelby's Disney Wedding (VIDEO)

The Voice Coach sang her heart out during her son's magical reception.

The Queen of Country Music just gave her son a wedding gift he'll never forget.

How to Watch

Watch The Voice on Mondays and Tuesdays at 8/7c on NBC and next day on Peacock.

Reba McEntire celebrated a very momentous occasion back in February 2022. Her son, Shelby Blackstock, got married to his longtime sweetheart, Marissa Branch! But it wasn't any ordinary wedding. The two celebrated in a private reception at Disney World in Orlando, Florida once the park was closed to visitors. Marissa showed off the festivities in a lovely Instagram carousel.

It was an evening that McEntire's son — and his beautiful bride — would never forget, thanks in part to a surprise musical moment by his mom.

One of the reception's musicians captured the former Voice Coach singing her 1990 hit, "Fancy," in an impromptu wedding moment that sums up the country legend in a nutshell. Dressed in a gorgeous black dress, she ensured everybody in attendance was on their feet and singing along!

The musician put it best by writing in the video's caption, "When mama @reba drops the heat at the wedding reception.. 🤯🤯🤯."

As usual, McEntire didn't miss a single note as she led the reception in a singalong for the ages. She sounded just like her record!

The 69-year-old is a proud mama for sure. Of course, fans of Happy's Place know that besides her son's wedding, there's something else McEntire should be proud of: the show was just renewed for a second season by NBC!

(In other words, McEntire is on cloud nine these days — and who could blame her?)

Here's what to know about "Fancy"

Originally written and recorded in 1969 by Bobbie Gentry, "Fancy" was a crossover hit for the artist in its own right. However, the song reached new heights in 1990 when McEntire included a version of it on her Rumor Has It album.

"Fancy" reached #8 on the Billboard Hot Country Songs chart, spending 20 weeks on the list.

Reba McEntire appears during The Voice Season 26 Episode 6.

McEntire opened up about her affinity for the song in a 2019 interview with Country Living. The song itself, as written by Gentry, tells the story of a woman who is down on her luck and who does anything and everything to make ends meet — and it's a story that McEntire has always admired.

"It's a rags-to-riches story," McEntire said. "I love rags-to-riches stories. Cinderella, Annie Get Your Gun, all poverty and then make it big in the world. Fancy — she had a lot going against her and she persevered and moved on… I always wanted to record it. Then [producer] Tony Brown said, 'What's a song you'd like to do a remake of?' And I said, 'Fancy.' He said, 'That's one of my favorite songs, too.' And so we recorded it."
