You'll Be Shocked At Oliver Platt's "Workplace Romance" on Chicago Med (VIDEO)

The Chicago Med actors make for an unlikely pair.

By Elizabeth Logan

Workplace romances can be so unpredictable! Who would have guessed that on the set of Chicago Med, Oliver Platt would fall for Darren Barnet? Well, the romance might be a joke, but the friendship is obviously real.

Platt and Barnet are having a Valentine's Day bromance

How to Watch

Watch Chicago Med Wednesdays at 8/7c on NBC and next day on Peacock

In a new video, the pair lip-sync to an audio clip, with Barnett, in pink heart-shaped glasses, suavely asking, "Will you be mine?" Platt, in a pink and red Chicago Med hat, responds bluntly, "F--k yeah."

The veteran actor uploaded the quick clip to Instagram with the caption, "So mysterious how workplace romances can just come outta nowhere. #valentinesday," and Barnet commented, "I had you at hello ❤️." Boys, we know you're just having fun... but we honestly kinda ship it.

A split of Dr Daniel Charles and Dr Frost on Chicago Med

Darren Barnet is Gaffney's newest heartthrob

Playing Dr. Daniel Charles, head of psychiatry, Platt has been a Chicago Med star from the series' very beginning 10 years ago. He's been married four times to three different women, if that's any indication of his allure. (In real life, Platt has been married to Mary Camilla Bonsal Campbell since 1992).

So there's no better mentor (or work husband) for Barnet, who just joined the cast as Dr. John Frost. Frost entered the show mid-crisis at the start of Season 10, and his charm was only increased by the fact that he's literally fighting for kids' lives.

"Dr. Frost is very charming," Chicago Med showrunner Allen Macdonald told NBC Insider ahead of Season 10. "He's very good-looking. He knows both those things, and he's not averse to using them to his advantage."

Macdonald later added, "He is a huge defender of children. He's able to relate to them on a very real level; he makes very genuine connections with them. He is a big believer that — no matter what their age — children should be fully informed of what's going on with their bodies if there's something wrong with them and be a part of the conversation for what kind of treatments they will have to endure because they're the ones that are gonna have to endure that."
