Found: Shanola Hampton Talks Gabi's Arrest, That [REDACTED] Twist & What Comes Next (Exclusive)
Despite Ms. Mosely's desire to make amends, things didn't go exactly as planned in the latest episode of Found Season 2.
**SPOILER WARNING! The following contains major spoilers for Found Season 2, Episode 12!**
At the end of Found Season 2, Episode 11, Gabi Mosely (played by series producer Shanola Hampton) was taken into police custody for the crime of kidnapping Sir (Mark-Paul Gosselaar) and keeping him locked up in her basement. Sir was also arrested following a clever sting operation at the Mosely & Associates offices set up by Ms. Mosely and Detective Mark Trent (Brett Dalton).
While Gabi gave herself up willingly, ready to endure a jail sentence for her sins, things didn't go exactly as planned when Trent sat down to hear Sir's confession in tonight's Season 2, Episode 12, "Missing While Misidentified." Rather than confess to his 9-month-long confinement underground, Sir denies everything and ridicules the accusation that Gabi would ever stoop to the level of the "monsters" she's devoted her life to fighting. With no evidence to justify her arrest, DCPD is forced to let Gabi go free.

This is great news for the good guys, but does Gabi really want to be indebted to Sir?
Found star Shanola Hampton on Sir's shocking confession and what comes next
"It’s really exciting because we got to go through her having a secret; the secret being exposed; her being on a pedestal; falling from grace; showing her family how much she wants penance; and how much she wants to pay for what she’s done," Hampton tells NBC Insider over Zoom. "She thinks she's finally free at the end of Episode 211."
The actress continues: "They got Sir, he's going to jail, she's going to jail, and then Sir says that he didn't get kidnapped by her. So now all of the things that she thought she was going to pay for in the way that is a jail sentence doesn't happen. Now she still has to deal with the struggle of healing, of wanting to still pay, and that being stripped from her. The dark cloud that is Sir is still following her through the entirety of the second half of the second season, while she's still solving cases, while she's dealing with Jamie. Is this really Jamie who’s come back? I need to protect Margaret. Who is Heather? There are so many balls that she's juggling throughout the entirety of this last half."

Tonight's episode also offered a flashback to the night Gabi captured Sir, and how the latter became an unofficial investigator for Mosely & Associates. "To go to that emotional place, but most importantly, to be back in that basement and shooting with Mark-Paul, was so exciting," Hampton says. "Those scenes were so intense ... It was just so juicy, and it fulfilled me so much as an artist."
