Drew Barrymore and Adam Sandler Once Sang This Sweet Duet About Their Movies Together
With the rom-com couple teasing a new collaboration, this 2014 duet has us feeling nostalgic.
Adam Sandler and Drew Barrymore are one of the great couples of romantic comedies. The stars have made three movies together: The Wedding Singer, 50 First Dates, and Blended. And Barrymore recently teased the possibility of a fourth.
When Kate Hudson appeared on The Drew Barrymore Show on March 3, 2025, she asked Barrymore if she'd do another film with Sandler.
"We talk about it all the time, and I know that we are going to do it," Barrymore replied. "Yes, 100% yes!"
With this news, we're looking back at their Tonight Show appearance together in 2014 — the year Barrymore and Sandler starred in their most recent collaboration, Blended. The friends and collaborators celebrated their creative friendship with a song about it.

"Every 10 years we get to fall in love again," Barrymore said sweetly.
"We have a lot of fun together," Sandler added.
"Those are beautiful words," Fallon told them as he grabbed a guitar from behind his desk. "But tonight, I was wondering if you would like to express those feelings in song?"
Adam Sandler and Drew Barrymore's "Every 10 Years" song celebrates their movies together
Standing at microphones with Fallon backing them on guitar, Sandler and Barrymore sang a sweet ode to one another called The "Every 10 Years" Song.
"Every 10 years I promise to love you," Barrymore sang to Sandler, as he replied, "I'll always be true, even as we get older."
The ditty continued with Barrymore's lyrics being cute, and Sandler's a bit more crude — but you can't deny the chemistry they still have.
"Am I your best movie husband?" Sandler asked later in the song, with Barrymore reassuring him that he's better than her other former co-stars such as Hugh Grant and Ben Stiller.
But when he mentioned Fallon — whom she co-starred in 2005's Fever Pitch with — Barrymore diplomatically answered, "You both have great qualities."
"I'll take that," said Fallon from behind them.
The touching duet ends with Sandler launching into "Grow Old With You," from their first movie together, The Wedding Singer.
"I could be the man who grows old with you, I want to grow old with Drew-y," he sang, as they ended the number with a kiss and hug.

Did Adam Sandler and Drew Barrymore ever date?
No. Sandler and Barrymore have never dated, but Barrymore did reveal that Sandler has been her best on-screen kiss on a February 2025 episode of Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen.
“I mean, I love that Adam Sandler and I are so platonic. We never dated, his wife Jackie is my dear friend," Barrymore answered. "I love being in films with him because I think we’re representing something bigger than hot sexual chemistry. We’re representing true admiration of another person.”
