6 Times Kate Hudson Showed Off Her Amazing Singing Voice
Is there anything Kate Hudson can’t do?!
Kate Hudson is known for a ton of cool stuff, whether it’s her award-winning acting career, running an immensely successful international apparel brand, or simply helping carry forward the family acting legacy of her famous Hollywood parents (mom Goldie Hawn and stepfather Kurt Russell).
But unless you’ve been paying extra-close attention throughout Hudson’s 20-plus years in major screen roles, you might’ve missed yet another of the Oscar-nominated star’s many talents — at least, that is, until fairly recently. As Voice fans found out during her stellar live performance on the Season 25 finale, Hudson can sing! And not just in an occasional, amateur sort of way: We’re talking some serious all-pro vocal pipes, the kind that sound right at home on an actual album (like 2024’s Glorious, Hudson's studio debut).
With a full command of both the microphone and the stage, Hudson’s an ideal fit to rejoin The Voice this season, this time as Coach Adam Levine’s celebrity Battle Advisor as the competition deepens in Season 26.
Keep on scrolling to see (and hear!) Kate Hudson in a whole new way, as we highlight six different clips that prove this A-lister was always born to sing.

The Voice Season 27 Battle Advisor Kate Hudson shows off her incredible singing skills: listen
1. — “Right on Time”
One of two new songs (alongside “Desert Warrior”) that were recently added in for the deluxe re-release of Glorious, “Right on Time” features Hudson paying heartfelt, inspirational tribute to her mother Goldie Hawn.
2. — “Glorious” (live from Season 25 of The Voice)
Hudson put her full power behind this power ballad in a stunning live finale guest performance on Season 25 of The Voice. Singing “Glorious,” the same-named title track to her debut album, Hudson showcased her secret vocal skills for perhaps her biggest audience to date.
3. — “Talk About Love”
“Talk About Love” was the first single to drop ahead of the early-2024 release of Glorious, and the official music video quickly put the unsuspecting world on notice. Showcasing the uptempo pop side of Hudson’s musical repertoire, it still remains one of her most frequently-viewed YouTube tracks.

4. — “Gonna FInd Out” (live on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon)
Longtime fans might’ve caught early glimpses of Hudson's vocal talents on earlier screen projects like Glee and the Sia-directed 2021 movie Music. But this swaggering, blues-y live May 2024 rendition of “Gonna Find Out” on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon marked her official TV performance debut as an artist. It almost left Fallon speechless in the process.
5. — “Live Forever”
This sweetheart of a music video for Hudson’s “Live Forever” features an adorable series of candid, heartwarming home video clips of Ryder — Hudson’s now 20 year-old son — during the first two decades of his life. It’s also a great chance to hear the warmth in Hudson’s voice, even when she’s soaring near the highest reach of her vocal register.
6. — “Voices Carry” (’Til Tuesday cover)
’Til Tuesday’s “Voices Carry” is a stone-cold 1980s classic that nearly defies the cover-song treatment: After all, it’s tough to follow in the footsteps — even four decades later — of a pop singer as iconic as Aimee Mann. But by staying faithful to the track’s steady midtempo beat and infusing it with just a hint of her own vocal grit, Hudson’s version somehow does serious justice to the original, all while endearing the song to a whole new generation of fans.
