A Breakdown of the Current Chicago Fire Cast
The Windy City is a safer place when the Firehouse 51 firefighters are on a call.
Throughout Chicago Fire's many years, we've seen fan favorite characters come and go, but the core members of Firehouse 51 have remained.
"It is a new era [of Chicago Fire] in lots of ways, though the core family is still together and will need each other to manage the twists and turns ahead," Chicago Fire showrunner Andrea Newman told NBC Insider about Season 13 of the show. "Fans can expect some darker themes [in Season 13], with new challenges, battles, and thrills as things get shaken up at 51!"
Here's a look at the current Chicago Fire cast:
Dermot Mulroney as Firehouse 51 Chief Dom Pascal
Making his way to Chicago Fire cast as Firehouse 51's newest chief is Dermot Mulroney as Chief Dom Pascal. With Boden leaving some big shoes to fill, Pascal is set to shake things up at Firehouse 51 as he settles into his new post.

Taylor Kinney as Lieutenant Kelly Severide, Squad Company 3
One of Chicago Fire's focal characters is Kelly Severide, played by the dynamite Taylor Kinney. Kinney shines as Severide thanks to his ability to create a complex, nuanced, imperfect yet avidly beloved character. In Season 11 of Chicago Fire, Severide left Chicago to pursue a career in arson investigation, accepting a spot in a prestigious academy in Alabama. Fans were sad to see Severide go, but he fortunately returned in the Season 12 of Chicago Fire.
“This is home,” Kinney said on TODAY regarding the city of Chicago. “Times have changed, and the city has changed, and people have grown.”
Miranda Rae Mayo as Lieutenant Stella Kidd, Truck Company 81
Despite showing up in Season 4 of Chicago Fire, Miranda Ray Mayo has become a fan favorite with her phenomenal performance as Stella Kidd. Kidd is tenacious, compassionate, and never afraid to fight for what she wants. Whether that's becoming a lieutenant or managing to steal the heart of Severide as his wife, Mayo has a way of elevating every scene that she's in.
David Eigenberg as Lieutenant Christopher Herrmann, Engine Company 51
Chicago Fire wouldn't be accurate to its Midwest setting without seeing the firefighters head to a local bar at the end of a hard shift. Molly's is that bar for Firehouse 51, owned and operated by fellow firefighter Chris Herrmann, played by David Eigenberg. Herrmann is an experienced firefighter and dedicated first responder, committing many years of his life to the field. When the fresh-faced firefighters need help, they always have Herrmann to rely on.
Joe Minoso as Firefighter Joe Cruz, Squad Company 3
Firehouse 51 firefighter Joe Cruz is played by Joe Minoso, a long-time favorite among Chicago Fire fans. Joe takes his life experience and becomes a caring, empathetic, and integral part of Firehouse 51's success. When Severide left Chicago in Season 11, it was Cruz who stepped up to the plate to make sure the station didn't suffer. Cruz's passion for the job has led him to become the beating heart of Chicago Fire.
Christian Stolte as Firefighter Randy "Mouch" McHolland, Truck Company 81
Each of Dick Wolf's dramas demands comic relief, and for Chicago Fire, it's undeniably Randy "Mouch" McHolland, played by the hilarious Christian Stolte. Despite being a seasoned firefighter who always knows when to get serious, he's a jovial guy who enjoys his time on the couch ("half-man, half-couch" is how he earned his nickname). Mouch is also half of the One Chicago power couple "Plouch" alongside Trudy Platt (Amy Morton) from Chicago P.D.
Daniel Kyri as Firefighter Darren Ritter, Engine Company 51
Joining Firehouse 51 in Season 7 of Chicago Fire, Darren Ritter is played by Daniel Kyri. Ritter began as a timid firefighter candidate but quickly gained his footing after connecting with some of his fellow firefighters. Ritter is attentive, driven, and committed to becoming a stronger first responder, the makings of an exemplary firefighter. After learning everything that he could from Herrmann and Mouch, Ritter has emerged as one of the most reliable firefighters at 51.

Hanako Greensmith as Paramedic Violet Mikami, Ambulance 61
Violet Mikami, played by Hanako Greensmith, is another addition to the late seasons of Chicago Fire. Violet is very competitive, constantly pushing herself to be a standout member of Firehouse 51. Violet is the paramedic you hope shows up if you're ever in need. Straightforward and tenacious while also secretly sentimental, Chicago Fire has become even better with Violet on the team.
Jake Lockett as Firefighter Sam Carver, Truck Company 81
Jake Lockett stars as Firehouse 51's Sam Carver. Carver had a rivalry with Kidd from their time together at the Academy. This history and his generally arrogant attitude didn't pave the way for a solid first impression when he joined 51 in Chicago Fire Season 11. Nowadays, Carver has made many friends at Firehouse 51 despite his occasionally dark and stormy demeanor. Carver is flirtatious, cocky, and privy to the occasional bar fight, and his on-again-off-again fling with Violet has become a One Chicago obsession.
Jocelyn Hudon as Paramedic Lyla Novak, Ambulance 61
Having established herself as a certified scene-stealer in Season 12 of Chicago Fire, Hudon returns in Season 13 as paramedic Lyla Novak. Instantly adored for her bubbly demeanor and knack for emotionally connecting with civilians, Novak has solidified her place at 51 and become quite close to her paramedic pal, Violet. Between her lighthearted jokes and quick-on-her-feet medical skills, Novak is a One Chicago keeper.
