The Chicago Fire star honors his mother, Ellen B. Mulroney, who died on October 3 at 92-years old.

"He's kind of a man of mystery," Fire showrunner Andrea Newman told NBC Insider about the new chief.

"I'm not Chief Boden," Firehouse 51's new boss, Dom Pascal, said in the Season 13 premiere. "I'm not trying to be."

Mulroney told NBC Insider that he and his team drove overnight to make sure they arrived in the Windy City in time for the One Chicago action.

"How our characters either fall in line or kind of resist is going to provide some exciting heat this season," Fire's Daniel Kyri told NBC Insider.
