Jesse Lee Soffer & Tracy Spiridakos Had a Rainy Weekend in Italy Together (PICS)
The two Chicago P.D. alums embarked on another unforgettable overseas trip!
In a February 17 Instagram carousel, Chicago P.D. alum Tracy Spiridakos clued fans in to her latest adventure: a trip to Venice, Italy. Oh, and did we mention she was joined by her former co-star Jesse Lee Soffer on the trip? It's true! The two experienced Venice in all its (rainy) glory, including walking through the city's famous streets, seeing gondolas, and — hopefully — enjoying plenty of fresh pasta.
"Venezia 🇮🇹," read the carousel's simple caption.
Spiridakos and Soffer are frequent travel buddies. They visited Lisbon, Portugal over the summer for a quick stint and shared pics from a cozy wine and cigar night together at the end of last year.

Chicago P.D. features an ever-evolving cast of Intelligence Unit members, which means for longtime viewers, saying goodbye to characters is a common occurrence. Fans obsessed over Jay Halstead (Soffer) and Hailey Upton's (Spiridakos) will-they-won't-they P.D. relationship, happily following along until the characters married.
However, Soffer's exit in Season 10 threw a wrench in their relationship, leading to a divorce in Season 11 that inspired some intense soul-searching from Upton. Ultimately, it led her to explore a new chapter outside the Windy City.

"It was a really hard decision, and I don't know that there's ever a right time," Spiridakos told NBC Insider about her exit. "I think I've been on the show for just over seven years, like seven-and-a-half-ish years, and I was just wanting to switch it up and kind of see what else was out there. That was really it. I'm so close with everybody. With our producers, Gwen, our writers, our cast, our crew. It was a really difficult and emotional time, for sure."

"I've thought so hard about how to answer this question — and there's no good answer," Soffer told Variety in 2023 about deciding to step away from Chicago P.D. "Except I was ready for more."
