Court is nearly in session! Suits LA launches on February 23, and viewers will have no objection to watching Bryan Greenberg in action in this new NBC legal drama.

How to Watch

Watch the series premiere of Suits: LA on Sunday, February 23 at 9/8c on NBC.

The role of the highly ambitious lawyer, Rick Dodsen, is sure to fit him like custom-tailored Hugo Boss in this eagerly anticipated spin-off of Suits set in the City of Angels. After all, he's a versatile and always appealing actor who’s made a name for himself by slipping seamlessly into his TV and movie characters.

Can’t quite place where you’ve seen Greenberg before? Before the glossy, high-stakes Suits LA legal wrangling begins – and all that goes with it behind the scenes – let’s review why you recognize him.

Born in Omaha, Greenberg’s family moved to a St. Louis suburb when he was 12. That’s where he scored his first role – a Cookie Crisp cereal commercial.

After high school, he graduated from New York University and began his career with guest spots and bit parts on shows including Third Watch and The Sopranos.

I’ve been kind of fortunate to know that I always wanted to be an actor and a musician,” he told the Daily News. “So I never really strayed from that ….”

Bryan Greenberg’s notable roles

Greenberg’s recurring three-season arc beginning in 2003 on the WB’s One Tree Hill broke him through in a big way. He played Jake Jagielski, a kind-hearted and responsible high school basketball player and single dad. Jake became a fan-favorite due to his warmth and love for his daughter.

In 2005 Greenberg went the rom-com route in the movie Prime, playing the juicy role of David Bloomberg, a young man who gets involved with an older woman (Uma Thurman) whose therapist (Meryl Streep) turns out to be David's mother. Now that’s awkward! But Greenberg was all charm.

Greenberg followed that up with a rapid succession of juicy film and TV roles. In 2008 in the ABC series, October Road, he starred as a writer who returns home after a decade. A year later in Bride Wars, he was a journalist in love with his sister’s bestie, played respectively by Kate Hudson and Anne Hathaway.

In the HBO series How to Make It in America, which ran two seasons starting in 2010, he played an aspiring fashion designer. A couple years later, for his recurring role in the The Mindy Project he worked his fine-tuned romantic chops in an on-off relationship opposite series star Mindy Kaling.

Beyond big and small screens, music is another reason why you might recognize Greenberg, who's married with twin sons to actress Jamie Chung. His debut album “Waiting for Now” came out in 2007. “We Don’t Have Forever,” his second album, came out in 2011.
