With NBC’s hit comedy series St. Denis Medical heading into later episodes of its first season, viewers are reminiscing on their favorite moments from Season 1 while looking ahead to what's next. Given that the show is the latest from Superstore executive producers, many, including that show's stars, are wondering if more cast will cross over.

How to Watch

Watch new episodes of St. Denis Medical Tuesdays on NBC and next day on Peacock.

Guest stars were a major crowd pleaser, with delightful cameos of stars from beloved shows, including Brooklyn Nine-Nine and Scrubs in the early episodes. Stars from Superstore are a no-brainer consider some of the cast are already regulars on the show, but could more come in?

Actor Josh Lawson and comedic actress Kaliko Kauahi also used to star in Superstore, fans can't get enough of these on-screen reunions and according to one of the creators of St. Denis Medical, more reunions could be in store.

St. Denis Medical co-creator invites Superstore alums to guest star

Amy (America Ferrera) and Jonah (Ben Feldman) wear matching blue vests in Superstore Episode 204.

Co-creator of the series Eric Ledgin, who, like fellow co-creator Justin Spitzer, previously worked on Superstore, recently expressed his willingness on having more alums join the hospital series.

In fact, there were two names that were instantly brought up: Ben Feldman and America Ferrera. Fans of Superstore perhaps know them best as Jonah Simms and Amy Sosa, two headstrong Cloud 9 employees who eventually got married and raised children together.

“They'd always be invited,” Ledgin told Screen Rant, adding, “They're both lovely and talented people, and we've been incredibly lucky and had some incredible guest stars this year, and there's really no one that I wouldn't want to come back and be curious to see what would happen with them, but yeah. Those guys are wonderful, and I would love to have them on if they're watching.”

This news couldn’t come at a better time, as Ben Feldman has already revealed that he would love to join the cast in its medical shenanigans.

Every Superstore star whose made an appearance in the mockumentary series has played a completely different character. So, it’s safe to assume that if these two actors come to St. Denis Medical, they won’t be playing Jonah and Amy.

That now leaves us with an infinite number of possibilities of who their characters could be. Are they relatives of Joyce Henderson (Wendi McLendon-Covey)? ER patients who cause nothing but chaos? Right now no guest appearance has been confirmed, so fans can only hope and speculate at this point.

Catch new episodes of St. Denis Medical when they premiere on Tuesdays on NBC at 8/7c. Episodes are available to stream on Peacock the next day.
