Blake Shelton Putting His Arm Around Gwen Stefani in the Car Will Make You Swoon

Shelton and Stefani could not look any more in love during their lyric video for ''Purple Irises.''

Gwen Stefani and Blake Shelton's lyric video to their new single ''Purple Irises'' is filled with the sweetest moments between the couple.

In the video, we get to see Shelton strumming his guitar while he and Stefani sit on the couch with the biggest grins on their faces. Stefani then leans on Shelton's lap while looking lovingly into his eyes, before they romantically sing the tune together in the front seat of a car while Shelton puts his arm around Stefani. We also catch a glimpse of Stefani and  Shelton showing each other purple iris flowers as a symbol of their love while Shelton wears a cowboy hat and embraces his wife. How sweet!

What to know about ''Purple Irises'' by Gwen Stefani and Blake Shelton

''Purple Irises'' by Gwen Stefani and Blake Shelton dropped on February 9, just in time for Valentines Day. The much-anticipated single came out after Stefani gave fans hints about the project by sharing artsy polaroid photos of herself and Shelton next to symbolic purple iris flowers. 

On February 9, a day after the cover art for the single dropped, Stefani shared the most romantic photoshoot for the song to Instagram. In the clip, Stefani rocked a denim jumpsuit while Shelton lovingly ran his fingers through her hair. 

''creating this song was magic + we hope u love it as much as we do :)'' Stefani captioned the post.

When Stefani appeared on Jimmy Kimmel Live! on Valentine's Day, she talked about the creative process behind making the duet

''Blake and I have done a few [duets] together. And I've popped on a couple of his songs. When he's asked me to do that, I'm like crying. [I'd do] Anything with him,'' she said. 

She added, ''I'm so excited about the song, and I played it for Blake. And he loved it."

Stefani and Shelton then performed a mesmerizing rendition of the song, and the two could not look any more in love while doing so. Their first live performance of ''Purple Irises'' happened on February 11 at the TikTok Tailgate party before the Kansas City Chiefs and San Francisco 49ers Super Bowl game.
