Dr. Ben Song, played by Raymond Lee, finds himself traveling through different centuries as part of a science experiment trying to understand the mysteries left behind by the original Quantum Leap-er.

Lee himself has traveled through many personas by way of his own acting career, so, if he looks familiar, there's probably a good reason.

Raymond Lee's Movies, T.V. Shows, and Theatre Roles
Lee was born in New York City but has spent a majority of his life in Los Angeles. He attended California State University Long Beach, where he sharpened his acting skills.
Before taking on the lead role of the hit show Quantum Leap, Lee wrote, directed and acted in a number of projects, ranging from plays to short films.

Per his NBC bio, Lee's theater credits include world-premiere productions of Vietgone at Manhattan Theatre Club, for which he earned the Theatre World Award for Outstanding Off-Broadway Debut.
He also performed in Office Hour, opposite Sandra Oh, and in Cambodian Rock Band at the South Coast Repertory.

Just prior to Quantum Leap, Lee was a series regular on Kevin Can Go F**k Himself, where he played Sam, a diner owner in the series.
You might also recognize him from his role in Top Gun: Maverick (2022) as Lieutenant Logan "Yale" Lee. He also played the character Keefus in Made for Love, and starred as Arlen Lee in the hit show Mozart in the Jungle in 2018.
Who is Raymond Lee's wife?
Raymond Lee's wife, Stacy Kusumolkul Lee stays mostly out of the spotlight, but has made some appearances on her husband's Instagram account.

She is a co-founder of the organization "Dignity not Despair," which distributes makeup, shampoo, and other hygiene necessities to female refugees. "Providing food, shelter and clothing in crisis situations is essential, but we realized that there is a need for goods that help provide something equally important, which is one's dignity," the organization's website explains.

The currently show is a sequel to the original, which starred Scott Bakula and Dean Stockwell, and Lee has proven himself familiar with the 1980s version of the show.

Lee, it turns out, was a fan of the original series growing up.
"I remember distinctly in sixth grade, it was my best friend's favorite show, and I thought he was such an adult watching something like Quantum Leap," Lee told EW about how he discovered the original series. "By watching with my friend, I became a fan."
