The Most Romantic Weddings in Chicago Fire & Chicago Med History
Love is in the air in Illinois!
Love is in the air in Illinois. Apart from saving lives in hospitals, fires, and on the streets, the detectives, firefighters, and medics of the One Chicago franchise are best at falling in love with one another.
Throughout the series, there have been loves at first sight and slow burns, break-ups and make-ups, and love triangles and tragedies. But only some of the many much-shipped couples made it down the aisle to the altar, and all of their weddings have been memorable for different reasons.
These One Chicago weddings in particular made fans swoon:
Stellaride (Chicago Fire Season 10, Episode 22, "The Magnificent City of Chicago")
The best! From their slow-burn romance to their epic confessions, this is THE Chicago Fire ship to end all ships, and their wedding did not disappoint. They married aboard a Chicago River tour boat, with Chief Boden walking Stella Kidd (Miranda Rae Mayo) down the aisle to where Kelly Severide (Taylor Kinney) was waiting to deliver simply beautiful vows. Is someone cutting onions in here?
Ethan and April (Chicago Med Season 8, Episode 9, "This Could Be The Start of Something New")
It's a bittersweet, but mostly sweet, midseason finale as Dr. Ethan Choi (Brian Tee) and nurse April Sexton (Yaya DaCosta) announce their plans to leave the hospital and start a mobile clinic to better reach underserved communities. April's father comes into the ED with chest pains the day before the wedding, but it's much ado about nothing (well, a minor surgery, but he's fine), and the wedding happens as planned in a big, beautiful church ceremony.

Cruz and Chloe (Chicago Fire Season 8, Episode 19, "Light Things Up")
Firefighter Joe Cruz (Joe Minoso) is a little banged up by the time he makes it to the church to marry his girlfriend Chloe (Kristen Gutoskie), but she's in it, for better or for worse, and it's a cute ending to a dramatic episode.
Chief Boden and Donna (Chicago Fire Season 2, Episode 22, "Real Never Waits")
When Chief Boden (Eamonn Walker) and his girlfriend, Donna (Melissa Ponzio), were missing the signs, fate stepped in. Though their relationship had its ups and downs, an unexpected pregnancy forced them to realize they wanted to be a family.
Mouch and Platt (Chicago Fire Season 4, Episode 18, "On The Warpath")
#Plouch, a.k.a the Trudy Platt (Amy Morton) and Randall "Mouch" McHolland (Christian Stolte) ship, was often played for laughs, but when they tied the knot, you could see the genuine tenderness between the two beloved characters.
