Marina Squerciati Is "Stupidly Excited" for This Major Upcoming Chicago P.D. Event
Wedding season is almost here!
Marina Squerciati is looking forward to the upcoming Burgess-Ruzek wedding just as much as One Chicago fans are!
In a February 26 Instagram carousel, the Chicago P.D. star revealed she's been doing a little dress shopping for her character and even admitted she was "stupidly excited" for the big event, currently slated for the Season 12 finale. Squerciati showed off four dresses — looking stunning in each — and even asked fans to help her choose the best one.
The 40-year-old couldn't contain her glee even in her caption, warning Patrick John Flueger to look away. She wants her future on-screen hubs to be surprised as if it will be a real wedding! (How sweet is that?)
"I'm stupidly excited for this wedding. YES, I KNOW IT'S FOR TV, BUT PADDY DO NOT LOOK AT THIS POST! 🙈 Can you all help me choose? I'm genuinely torn. I'd like to know what you like. More later! #burgess #burzek #weddingdress," Squerciati said in a caption.

Just a day earlier, Squerciati teased fans with a glimpse of her dress shopping, and it seems like even more pics from her search will be on the way.
Squerciati has been part of Chicago P.D. since the beginning, and how cool is it that producers have tasked her with picking out her character's dress? In a way, it's obvious — after all, nobody knows more about what wedding dress Kim Burgess would wear on her special day than Squerciati herself!

It's really happening: Burgess and Ruzek's third engagement will finally end with the two at the altar!
In a late January 2025 interview with TV Line, Flueger confirmed that the wedding is set for the end of Season 12 — and he's looking forward to how the episode will turn out, "corn and cheese" and all!
"I'm touched that they think that it's worth ending the season with it, but I don't know how it's going to go," he confessed. "I've always been fascinated to see how they do an episode of Chicago P.D. and have a proper wedding with all of the corn and cheese that that deserves."
If Flueger expects "corn and cheese," does that mean fans will be rewarded with an extended dance scene?
After all, everybody knows that nobody moves like the cast of One Chicago.
