After an exciting run-up that boasted multiple specials, an in-depth Peacock docuseries, a daily sketch countdown, and even an immersive Live from New York: The SNL Experience fan event, SNL50: The Anniversary Special is finally upon us!
The big SNL50 weekend kicked off on Friday, February 14, with the SNL50: The Homecoming Concert at Radio City Music Hall. Emceed by cast alum and Tonight Show Host Jimmy Fallon, its monster lineup included Lady Gaga, Bad Bunny, Bonnie Raitt, Lady Gaga, Eddie Vedder, Jack White, Miley Cyrus, The B-52s and so many more.
The celebrations will culminate on Sunday, February 16, with the three-hour prime time SNL50: The Anniversary Special. The star-studded event will air live across time zones on NBC and Peacock on Sunday, February 16, starting at 8ET/5pm PT.
And be sure to tune in for Sunday's live one-hour red carpet ahead of the special starting at 7ET/4pm PT, airing on NBC, E!, and Peacock.
Willie Geist and Leslie Jones will host the red carpet with correspondent Matt Rogers.

No. In a special presentation, NBC will re-air the very first episode of SNL in the show's 11:30/10:30c time slot.

The October 11, 1975 debut SNL episode was hosted by stand-up comic George Carlin and featured not one but two Musical Guests: Billy Preston and Janis Ian.
In addition to introducing Gilda Radner, Dan Aykroyd, Jane Curtin, Garrett Morris, John Belushi, Laraine Newman and Chevy Chase to the world, it also featured appearances by Jim Henson's Muppets, performer Andy Kaufman, a short film by actor-director Albert Brooks, and comedy from Valri Bromfeld.

Ahead of SNL on Saturday, NBC will air an encore presentation of Ladies & Gentleman ... 50 Years of SNL Music, the documentary co-directed by Oz Rodriguez and Questlove.
Featuring interviews with Billie Eilish & Finneas, Dave Grohl, Debbie Harry & Chris Stein, Dua Lipa, Darryl DMC McDaniels, Elvis Costello, Tom Morello, and many current and former SNL cast members, the doc is a vivid look back at the show's most dazzling, boundary-breaking, and even controversial moments.
It also features a dazzling musical mashup of 50 years of SNL Musical Guests as an opening sequence.
