The pilot starring the 30 Rock alum, and created by Tina Fey, was first announced in early March.
As if we couldn't be more excited that 30 Rock and Saturday Night Live co-stars Tina Fey and Tracy Morgan are teaming up again for a new show, the pilot just added a cast member: Daniel Radcliffe. Learn all about the project, here.
Daniel Radcliffe's part in the new Tracy Morgan pilot
As previously reported, Morgan is set to star in an upcoming comedy pilot co-created by Fey. The show centers on a disgraced former football player (Morgan) as he embarks on a mission to rehabilitate his image. Fey will executive produce alongside Eric Gurian and David Miner. Robert Carlock and Sam Means will both write and executive produce. Rhys Thomas is set to direct.
Radcliffe has joined the cast of the as-yet unnamed series, playing a character named Arthur Tobin, an award-winning filmmaker who moves into Reggie’s mansion to film an immersive documentary about the former star running back.
Radcliffe is best known for playing the titular boy wizard in the eight Harry Potter films and recently completed a critically acclaimed run in Merrily We Roll Along on Broadway. This is not his first time in the world of comedy television, either, having starred in four seasons of Miracle Workers and in Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt. He's also voiced characters on Bojack Horseman, Rick and Morty and Digman.

Tina Fey and Tracy Morgan's special bond
After meeting as a writer and cast member on Saturday Night Live, respectively, Fey and Morgan have gone on to develop a special comedic alchemy. “She’s my friend. I love her,” Morgan told Oprah Winfrey in 2010, per Vulture. “She understood that I knew who I was. Where everybody else [said]: ‘Oh, he don’t know. His whole career is chance.’ And she understood that I was making choices. I was making choices on TV. And she not only would write things, she would just encourage me.”
