What do Mariska Hargitay, Jenna Bush Hager, Reese Witherspoon, and Oprah have in common? They're all book lovers!

How to Watch

Watch TODAY weekdays at 7AM ET on NBC.

On March 11, Hargitay hosted an event celebrating the release of the new book from Amy Griffin, The Tell. The memori is significant because it's caught the attention of not one, not two, but three women who lead some of the most popular book clubs in the country. Hager and Witherspoon were advertised guests during the event — which drew a sizable crowd — and Oprah made a shocking appearance, too!

The three book club queens were together in one place for the first time ever, and all four women loved being part of such an important book release!

"I can tell you for sure that what this is going to do is release a lot of people to be free," Oprah said, addressing the room in a moment captured on Instagram. "And it's so powerful that never before have I been anywhere where Reese Witherspoon's book club and Jenna's book club and my book club are all in the same room!"

Hargitay shared a few photos of her on stage with the author — the longtime Law & Order: Special Victims Unit star certainly looked beyond happy to be there in her Instagram post!

A split featuring Reese Witherspoon, Oprah Winfrey, and Jenna Bush Hager.

"My heart is overflowing with joy and gratitude after last night's book tour launch for Amy Griffin's The Tell. My heart is also just so full of love for you, @amygriffin , and I'm so proud to call you my dear friend. Thank you for telling your story," Hargitay said in a caption.

Hager echoed Oprah's sentiment.

"BOOK nerds UNITE! @oprah @reesewitherspoon and I got together to celebrate @amygriffin and her new book! I admire these queens SO MUCH!" the TODAY star captioned on social media.

(You have to love Hager's "I can't believe I'm standing here" face in that photo!)

As big as the event was scheduled to be, Oprah making an unannounced appearance was the cherry on top of an unbelievable evening.

"Everything got even MORE exciting with an unexpected run-in with the Queens who love Book & Authors as much as I do," Witherspoon wrote on Instagram.

What is The Tell about?

Oprah Winfrey, Mariska Hargitay and Amy Griffin speak together onstage.

The Tell is an "astonishing memoir that explores how far we will go to protect ourselves, and the healing made possible when we face our secrets and begin to share our stories."

The book particularly blew away Hargitay — she couldn't keep herself from raving about it in her Instagram post.

"In 'The Tell', Amy shares her journey through harrowing emotional terrain — and demonstrates on every page how courage, strength and vulnerability go hand in hand on her way to a new, hard-won freedom." she wrote. "How lucky we all are to hear, learn from and bear witness to her story."
