Kelsea Ballerini’s Gorgeous Lookalike Mom Just Crashed The Voice
The Voice Season 27 Coach has such a sweet relationship with her mama.
We've seen The Voice Coaches bring their adorable kids to work over the years, but brand-new Coach Kelsea Ballerini brought an equally sweet guest to see the Season 27 Battles: her mom Carla! Did you catch the split-second cameo?
Kelsea Ballerini and her mom had a match-y moment on The Voice
"My mom's almost here, so make me look good," Ballerini instructed her fellow Coaches between performances during the Battle round. By the next break, mama Carla Denham had arrived. As a makeup artist touched up Ballerini, she called out, "John, this is my mom!"
"Oh, hi!" Coach John Legend said warmly. It was a brief interaction, but it's clear the mother-daughter duo share a passion for floral dresses, with the singer in a white dress with a rose embellishment and her equally blonde mother in a pink floral patterned maxi dress.
These two look so alike! See a photo, below:

Ballerini's album Patterns contains the emotional song "Sorry Mom," in which the singer-songwriter enumerated the many ways she felt she was difficult as a daughter. But thankfully, it was written from a place of having come out the other side mostly unscathed.
"Like, she was a helicopter mom growing up, and now we’re finally at this phase where I’m 31 now, and we’re in this beautiful phase of life where I’m able to be like, 'Hey, listen, I know that you probably wanted to shield me from a couple of the choices that I’ve made in my life. But at the end of the day I’m safe and I’m happy and you love me and I love you,'" she told Willie Geist of TODAY. "And that’s all we can ask for."
Ballerini added that her evolving relationship with her mother was "one of the most beautiful things" of recent years, and that they went from "mother to daughter, to woman to woman."

Equally beautiful was Denham's reaction to the tune. "She got done listening to it, and she said, 'She has nothing to be sorry for,' which I think is very sweet," Ballerini shared. Family is important to Ballerini, who has the word "love" tattooed on her ribcage...twice. Once in her dad's handwriting, and once in her mom's. Someone cutting onions in here?
You can watch The Voice Season 27 on Mondays at 8/7c on NBC. New episodes are available to stream the next day on Peacock.
