Kelly Clarkson's Voice is So Powerful as She Sings "Mr. Brightside" by The Killers
The powerhouse singer did an original take on the fan-favorite tune.
Kelly Clarkson sure knows how to pull off alt-rock hits!
In 2020, Clarkson performed an awesome Kellyoke cover of a beloved 2000s tune, "Mr. Brightside" by the Killers, and she totally made the song her own. The performance started out with some rapid, thumping drums while the Voice Coach perfectly annunciated the lyrics to the verse on the beat. When the pre-chorus hit, her voice came out of its cage, and did more than just fine. More specifically, she hit an ultra sustained note with some epic reverb effects on the microphone while guitars played in the background.

What to know about "Mr. Brightside" by The Killers
A single off of the band's debut album Hot Fuss, "Mr. Brightside" reached the number 10 position on the Billboard Hot 100 in 2005. Nowadays, it's a fan-favorite at events and parties, and it was reported in 2021 that it'd remained on the UK charts for five consecutive years. Rolling Stone also listed "Mr. Brightside" on the 378th position on its "Greatest Songs of All Time" list.
