By Jessica White

The drama has been firing off on all cylinders throughout Season 13 of Chicago Fire, and Chi-Hards are itching to see where the action heads next.

How to Watch

Watch Chicago Fire Wednesdays at 9/8c on NBC and next day on Peacock

As Chief Dom Pascal (Dermot Mulroney) takes the helm of Firehouse 51, viewers have relished his rollercoaster relationship with his wife, Monica (KaDee Strickland). Pascal has an infallible control over his post within the CFD, but has struggled to keep the peace at home. Slowly but surely, we've seen the Pascals work their way back to happier days. But in a sick twist of fate, Monica died in a car accident during Chicago Fire's March 5 episode, leaving Pascal and viewers everywhere devastated. Fans are eager to see how Firehouse 51 responds in the wake of this tragedy, but unfortunately for weekly watchers, they'll need to wait for new episodes.

"This entire experience on Chicago Fire is brand new for me. I'm also joining a cast that's already here. So I'm really the new guy in a brand new experience," Mulroney told NBC Insider amid his Season 13 arrival. "I've never played a part that will last this long. I've never worked on a job for this many months as our filming schedule rolls over into 2025. It's rare for me to work on a character where I don't already know the storyline... So, I'm having the most amazing time in a new process. [I've been acting] a long time — it's so nice to have a new way to look at creating a role, originating a role."
