When did Found premiere?

Found premiered Tuesday, October 3, 2023. Season 2 will premiere Thursday, October 3, 2024 at 10/9c.

What is the plot of Found?

Found premieres on Sunday, February 19

The premise of Found is chilling, shining a spotlight on the harrowing statistic that in any given year, more than 600,000 people are reported missing in the U.S. Of these reported cases, more than half of the missing people are people of color, too easily neglected by the system.

Shanola Hampton stars as Gabi Mosely, a former missing person herself, who now specializes in PR and leads a crisis management team, that seeks out these missing people. Gabi's tight-knit team at Mosley & Associates is comprised of dedicated individuals who were either taken hostage themselves or became collateral damage when a loved one went missing.

Margaret Reed, for instance, developed a keen, Sherlock Holmesian power of observation and deduction after her son was abducted from a bus station years before. Following his own abduction as a child, Zeke Wallace developed an acute case of agoraphobia, but uses his technical savvy and sizable trust fund to help those in need. Lacey Quinn was also kidnapped by Sir and now serves as legal counsel for Mosley & Associates, figuring out loopholes that allow the firm to circumvent legal red tape often holding up investigations. And finally, there's Dhan Rana, a hardened military veteran who serves as a fixer of sorts.

Unbeknownst to anyone, however, Gabi is hiding a dark secret of her own. She was kidnapped in the past — and she has tracked down her kidnapper, a sinister man named Sir (Mark-Paul Gosselaar), and turned the tables on him.

Sir, who was actually Gabi's high school English teacher, spent much of Season 1 trapped in her basement, held captive and forced to help Gabi solve kidnapping cases. Often inscrutable and deeply scarred from emotional abuse inflicted upon him by a mother he ultimately murdered, Sir is obsessed with cleanliness and classic literature. Everything changed at the end of Season 1, when he escaped, unable to stand idly by as Gabi was taken captive by a murderous couple.

What will come of their twisted partnership? Viewers will just have to wait and see.

Who is in the Found cast?

In addition to Hampton and Gosselaar, the Found cast also includes the talents of Kelli Williams (Margaret Reed), Brett Dalton (Detective Mark Trent), Gabrielle Walsh (Lacey Quinn, aka Bella), Arlen Escarpeta (Zeke Wallace), and Karan Oberoi (Dhan Rana). Nearly all of the actors — save for Dalton — play various members of Gabi's team who help her as she tracks down missing people.

Dalton, on the other hand, plays a Washington, D.C. detective with a romantic link to Gabi and while the former seemingly wants to rekindle that flame, Gabi can't do it while Sir lives in her basement. An unofficial team member of Mosley & Associates, Detective Trent often flouts official protocol in order to help his friends working in the private sector.
