Everything to Know About Kate Chastain's Time on The Traitors (So Far)
It looks like we're going to see the Below Deck star appear in Season 3, too.

Every season of Peacock’s hit show The Traitors brings together a new group of reality TV all-stars to a castle in the Scottish Highlands for a high-stakes game of deception and backstabbing. However, there’s one person who keeps coming back. Kate Chastain was a major player in the first season of The Traitors, and she came back as a surprise addition to the sophomore season. Now, there are hints that she’s going to make it a three-peat and appear once again in the ongoing third season of the Emmy-winning show.
If you need a refresher on Kate's multi-season tenure on The Traitors, here’s a quick refresher.

Who is Kate Chastain?
Before she became a Traitors mainstay, Kate Chastain — who was born on January 2, 1983, in Melbourne Beach, Florida — made a name for herself as one of the breakout stars of Bravo’s reality show Below Deck. Kate was the chief steward on Seasons 2 through 7 of the reality show, which follows various superyacht crews as they cater to the whims of their rotating passengers. She went on to be the host and executive producer on Bravo’s Chat Room and she has a recurring role in the Below Deck spin-off Galley Talk.
Kate was one of the 20 contestants in the inaugural season of the U.S. version of The Traitors, which debuted on Peacock in 2023.
Kate Chastain on The Traitors
In the first season of The Traitors, Kate was a Faithful, but while her outspoken nature and cutting wit may have helped win fans over, they might have worked against her within the confines of the game. Her feuds with other contestants, like fellow Faithful Rachel Reilly (Big Brother), caused the Faithful to grow suspicious of her, and the Traitors used that to their advantage, keeping her in the game as a scapegoat. Eventually, she was banished in Episode 10 in a vote led by Survivor alum Cirie Fields, the Traitor who ultimately won the grand prize that Kate came pretty close to. Kate finished in 5th place.
However, Kate would return to the castle in Season 2. The Traitors brought Kate back for Season 2, and executive producer Sam Rees-Jones told NBC Insider why
"Kate absolutely had unfinished business from Season 1 and she was a fan favorite," Rees-Jones said. "We enjoyed spicing things up. We want to keep the players always guessing what's going to happen next."
At the start of the fifth episode of Season 2, Kate was introduced as a surprise contestant at the start of the Round Table. Although she was initially a Faithful — and one who was pretty good at identifying who the Traitors were, including Big Brother’s Dan Gheesling and Survivor’s Parvati Shallow — a surprise twist changed things. At the end of Episode 8, following Shallow’s banishment, the sole surviving Traitor Phaedra Parks issued a secret ultimatum. The Real Housewives of Atlanta star told Kate she could either become a Traitor or be murdered.
She spent the next two episodes working as a Traitor before she was eventually eliminated as the 4th-place finisher and the last Traitor standing.
And yet, it seems likely that Kate will be back yet again in some way or another.
In a trailer for Season 3 that was released in December, there’s a quick shot of Kate and Parvati, both wearing elaborate dresses, walking imposingly across a field. How and when, exactly, these two reality legends and Traitors veterans will make their return to the show remains to be seen. One thing feels pretty sure, though: It will be memorable.
New episodes of The Traitors Season 3 premiere on Peacock on Thursdays at 9/8c, with the season finale and reunion premiering on March 6.
