"Bronx Beat" Just Returned with Maya Rudolph, Amy Poehler, & Mike Myers' Linda Richman
Two words: "Sweater weather!"
"Bronx Beat" is one of the most beloved Saturday Night Live sketch franchises in the show's 50-season history. In it, Maya Rudolph and Amy Poehler play chatty talk show hosts with thick New York accents who are enthusiastic about many things, especially "sweater weather."
For the show's 50th anniversary special on Sunday, February 16, Rudolph and Poehler reprised their beloved characters. In the new sketch, the ladies chatted with actor Miles Teller and made some hilarious observations before being joined by another famously talkative SNL character. Details below:
"Bronx Beat" returns to SNL50 with Maya Rudolph, Amy Poehler, and... Mike Myers!
What's more iconic than Poehler and Rudolph's "Bronx Beat?" A "Bronx Beat" and "Coffee Talk" crossover. That's exactly what happened during the SNL50 celebration when Mike Myers made a surprise appearance and reprised his beloved role Lisa Richman.
The "Coffee Talk" series ran from January 1991 to October 1994 on SNL. Myers' Linda was joined by many famous guests, including, in one memorable sketch, Madonna and Barbra Streisand.
