How to Watch

Watch The Voice Mondays and Tuesdays at 8/7c on NBC and next day on Peacock.

In 2014 the former The Voice Coach (Season 21) sang a show-stopping rendition of "The Star Spangled Banner" to kick off a Seattle Seahawks vs. Green Bay Packers game.

During her performance she started out with a deep rich tone, and the crowd went wild as she started to belt some powerful notes. She then hit the climax of the song, and wrapped things up with a perfect sustained note.

Watch the amazing performance here.

Grande clearly had some impressive pipes from a young age, as she also pulled off the notoriously difficult National Anthem when she was only 8 years old. Performing in her home state of Florida for a Florida Panthers vs. Chicago Blackhawks hockey game, she sang with a pitch-perfect tone and pulled off some subtle riffs, her talent already apparent.

In an August interview with Allure, Grande revealed that she got a sentimental tattoo of the character Glinda to represent her connection with the movie.

"When they come to me, I just get them," Grande explained to the outlet. "This one I knew I wanted to get for a very long time. This is my most recent one. It's Glinda from the original L. Frank Baum book. I waited forever to fill up this hand. And I thought, 'I'm gonna wait for the right thing to come along,' and yeah, that felt very right," she added.

Meanwhile, Kristin Chenoweth, who originated the role of Glinda on Broadway, is honored that Grande is tackling the part. Chenoweth offered some supportive words to Grande while on The Kelly Clarkson Show in April.

"You've already made me proud, so it doesn't matter. You've checked on that. That's achieved. What I want to encourage you to do, Ariana, is make Glinda your Glinda. Sure, you can tip your hat to me if you want, but really, I just want you to do you. Because I've known her since she was 10 and now I see the full circle ... I'm just so proud of her. I can't wait to see her do it," Chenoweth said.
