The park has been known for its interactive spaces where official wands purchased within the park can be used to make parts of the world come to life, but now the park is adding more to go along with wands that can do even more. Below is everything Potter fans need to know about the new wand experience coming to Universal Orlando Resort.
New Wands and Magical experiences coming to Universal Orlando's Harry Potter Worlds
Available in four different designs, the wands "will give guests an enhanced and exhilarating wand magic experience that includes several new features such as illumination effects and haptic vibrations custom to each spell so they can see and feel the results of their spellcasting like never before," reads the official release. "Housed in an exclusive, unique package marked with a wand burst icon, each wand will include a spell map that outlines locations they can practice magic, as well as information on how to take their wizarding legacy to a new level with Universal Play, available within the Universal Orlando Resort App."
Visitors to the park can also expect five more magic wand locations scattered throughout Hogsmeade, Diagon Alley, and the latter's Dark Arts counterpart, Knockturn Alley. They include: The Dueling Club Tent (where an abandoned dueling dummy will test one's spell-casting abilities), The Owl Post (where chaos-loving pixies run rampant among the parcels), Knockturn Alley Staircase (where the wand user must cast a patronus against an oncoming dementor), Ariadne’s Spinners (where the witch or wizard in question must battle against spiders infested the newspaper-covered windows of Diagon Alley), and Knockturn Alley Sky (where the conjurer must tame a stormy night sky).
For those of you counting at home, that brings the park's total number of wand hotspots to 30.
