"You Might Win This Show”: Inside Huntley’s “Magnetic,” “Hard-to-Believe” Battle
You don't often hear other Coaches saying stuff like this.
You know a contestant on NBC's The Voice is really, really good (like a mind-blowing talent) when other Coaches say they have a real shot at taking home the season's top prize. It's not something you often hear as the competition begins to heats up.
"I’m worried that you might win this show," Gwen Stefani told Huntley on Monday night's episode, despite the fact that the singer from Virginia isn't even on her team (he is currently under the tutelage of returning champion, Niall Horan). "Your precision and perfection of how you did it, it’s hard to believe."

Stefani, it seemed, couldn't say enough good things about Huntley, later adding: "That opening of the song was like he wrote that song."

Those incredible words of praise came after Huntley delivered a knockout performance against fellow Team Niall member Brailey Lenderman, as the two Battled it out over "Hold My Hand" by Hootie & the Blowfish. Horan decided to pair them up because they're both "soulful pop rockers," he explained. "They both have huge voices and I just felt like it was made for a big moment on the Battle stage."
John Legend also jumped on the Huntley bandwagon: “The magnetism and the energy that you convey, it’s just very attractive and it connects people to you. There’s something special about that crackle in your voice. Dude… you’re great."
Reba McEntire echoed those sentiments, calling Huntley a "a force of nature onstage."
And then came the tough part: Niall had to say goodbye to one of his mentees. Alas, that turned out to be Brailey, who will not be moving onto Knockouts. Ms. Lenderman fought back tears while thanking the One Direction alum for believing in her after nearly a decade of The Voice auditions.

"I genuinely think Huntley could win this competition outright," Horan said. "The way he sings and the power that he gives onstage, he had the room on the edge of [its] seat. I just can’t wait to see what he does in the Knockouts now."
The shocked Huntley planned to celebrate the good news by calling his 7-year-old daughter (the person who chose Niall to be her father's Coach during Blinds) and informing her that "unfortunately, dad's gonna have to be gone for a little bit longer."
