St. Denis Medical’s Newest Hospital Program Causes a Major Meltdown
The newest initiative at St. Denis Medical causes worry, panic, ... and throw up.

In the newest episode of NBC’s hit comedy St. Denis Medical, Executive Director Joyce Henderson (Wendi McLendon-Covey) spearheads a new Ladybug program at the hospital, an initiative promoting women to take their mammogram exams.
To commemorate the special Ladybug Day, Joyce volunteers to get her mammogram done on camera. She expects her assessment to go off without a hitch, but the doctor reveals that the test spotted a small lump on one of her breasts.

It’s unclear whether or not it is cancerous, but it would take a biopsy to determine its status. Joyce quickly becomes terrified at the prospect of it being dangerous and makes excuses to prolong getting the biopsy done as long as possible.
Her ladybug helpers, nurse Alex (Allison Tolman) and Serena (Kahyun Kim), try to convince her to take the test right away by enlisting help from Joyce’s partner Sanderson (Steve Little).
“Lean on a loved one. It’s one of the ladybug rules,” Alex explained.
He makes an unexpected visit to her office, and while the nurses were hoping he would calmly urge Joyce to take the test, he instead goes berserk with the fear of her dying and throws up.
His fearful response surprisingly worked, though, as Joyce was now even more concerned about her health and wanted to get the biopsy done. However, the thought of her not being okay made Sanderson so terrified that he walked out of the hospital, announcing that he’s leaving Joyce for good.
“I’m not built for this type of thing. She deserves someone who could take care of her,” he remarks during his exit.
After he storms out, Alex and Serena take his place in comforting Joyce as she awaits the results. And right after it was revealed that Joyce’s lump was benign, Sanderson bursts in and confesses his love for her, which she accepts and takes him back.
Will Joyce and Sanderson’s relationship go the distance?
