During a recent visit to The Jennifer Hudson Show, Lopez opened up about his search for love and how much he enjoys watching Love Is Blind. But on Instagram, his fans were only interested in talking about his new look: shoulder-length grey hair that's a bit on the untamed side.
"I love aged Tarzan (George) lol" wrote one in the comments. Added another, "The long hair looks good on George Lopez!" A third wanted to know, "Damn was Uncle George stuck in Jumanji or what," referring to Robin Williams' appearance after being trapped in a jungle game in the 1995 movie. (However, Saturday Night Live viewers will remember that in Jumanji, Jumani comes out.)
When Lopez stood to confidently pitch himself as the next lead of a dating show, EGOT winner Jennifer Hudson encouraged him, advising, “Work the hair for us, work the hair!" Lopez happily complied, shaking his head and flipping his hair to the audience's delight.

"[Season 3 is] at even a higher pace than the previous year; you get more comfortable," George told NBC Insider. "I would say to anybody watching TV, they go by fast, and they're all fun."
During Lopez and his co-star (and daughter) Mayan's October 2024 appearance on TODAY, the duo reflected on the sitcom's connection to fans. "It's based in truth," Mayan said. "And I think it's family, and it's showing in a way that it's connection, and I think laughing through the pain and showing, you know, the real struggles."
It's also important representation for Latinx families. "I think [Lopez vs. Lopez] is an amalgamation of the writers' cultural experience in the Latinx community as a whole," Mayan told NBC Insider. "We're just trying to tell our story, and it's going through the vestibule of our relationship, so there are things that are very similar... When you watch it, the audience will see that there are really moments when I'm just talking to my dad. This show has so much heart, and it's funny."
