Who Is Hot Wheels™: Ultimate Challenge Host Rutledge Wood Married To?

Rutledge Wood, the host of Hot Wheels™: Ultimate Challenge, is a family man in addition to being a gearhead. On NBC’s new competition series, he guides two contestants as they compete to transform an ordinary car into a life-size Hot Wheels-style ride that’s inspired by the iconic toy brand. At home, though, he’s a father to three daughters and husband to his wife, Rachel Wood. 

It’s not uncommon to wonder about the personal life of a celebrity, and Wood — who has previously hosted History’s Top Gear and the Netflix shows Floor Is Lava and The American Barbecue Showdown — definitely qualifies. His wife Rachel, however, is not a public figure, and she like many non-celebrity spouses keeps a low profile. Her Instagram account is private; outside of an occasional post from her husband on his account, she doesn’t make many appearances online.

The Woods have not publicly talked about when they met or how long they’ve been married, though they’ve been together for nearly two decades. They live with their daughters Elsie, Millie, and Hattie in Atlanta, Georgia, though Rutledge’s work frequently requires him to be away from his family. On Instagram, he’s praised Rachel for being “a BOSS” and doing so much for the family whenever he’s unable to physically be there due to his work on shows like Hot Wheels: Ultimate Challenge.

For many celebrities, the line between public and private life is often blurry, and the Woods seem to limit how much of their family life they put on social media or talk to the press about. For this reason, there aren’t too many more readily available details about Rachel Wood, as it seems likely that she and Rutledge would rather the focus be on the latest Hot Wheels: Ultimate Challenge episode than their private life.
