Premiering June 21 at 8/7c on NBC (and next day on Peacock), NBC's new docuseries LA Fire & Rescue takes you behind-the-scenes of the Los Angeles County Fire Department — showcasing the brave firefighters and medics who keep the city safe. And with 2,300 square miles of service, these heroes are busy. To put that even more into perspective: They are protecting over 4 million residents living across 59 cities across Los Angeles County. No pressure, right? (Wrong. In fact, there's never been more pressure.)
As we say in the show's official description, "From helicopter mountain rescues and lifeguard beach SOS, to fireboats, hazmat units and California’s raging wildfires, the department does it all. We've already introduced you to those real-life heroes whose jobs and lives you'll soon fall in love with — but where, exactly, are they working? As stated earlier, LA Fire & Rescue covers L.A.'s over-2,000 square miles of terrain, so to answer that question: They're working everywhere. Specifically, though, this series highlights seven Los Angeles County firehouses and two additional service branches: air operations and lifeguards.
