Tom Ball Sounded So Angelic Performing With the Voices of Hope Children’s Choir
Their voices absolutely stunned onstage! Watch America's Got Talent: All-Stars on NBC.
Singer Tom Ball and the Voices of Hope Children’s Choir collaborated during the America’s Got Talent: All-Stars finale, and the blending of their voices created an effortlessly angelic sound.
For this performance, Ball and the choir sang an amazing rendition of “Who Wants to Live Forever” by Queen that would make Freddie Mercury proud.
“There's no time for us, there's no place for us,” Ball started the track, singing gently with some steady vibrato.
"What is this thing that builds our dreams, yet slips away from us,” he crooned passionately.
Then, he brought some power into his vocals while singing the signature lyrics. “Who wants to live forever?” he continued to sing while the song built up in suspense. The Voices of Hope Children’s Choir then joined in, bringing in their perfectly-placed vocals and giving the tune some more raw emotion.
Ball later pulled off a gorgeous riff before launching into the second verse. “There's no chance for us, it's all decided for us,” he sang while the choir provided some heavenly high notes.
“This world has only one sweet moment set aside for us,” Ball continued while Judge Simon Cowell gazed at him with a big grin on his face.
The song then exploded into a sound that will give you goosebumps. “Who wants to live forever,” Ball repeated while the choir sang the lyrics with him in a bright, clean tone. “When love must die,” Ball sang powerfully.
When it was time for the show-stopping bridge, Ball gave his all. “But touch my tears with your lips, touch my soul with your fingertips,” he belted his heart out before flipping into a suspended high note to conclude the performance.
The crowd then erupted in cheers while the Judges gave a standing ovation.
“Now Tom, you just had a choir of 50 singing with you, how does that feel?” Host Terry Crews inquired.
“Absolutely phenomenal. They are fantastic,” Ball answered with glee.
Voices of Hope Children’s Choir were on Season 13 of AGT, and made it to the Semi-Finals. They returned to All-Stars, where they were eliminated during the Preliminaries.
Meanwhile, Ball was originally a Contestant on Britain's Got Talent and placed third in Season 15. When he traveled across the ocean to the All-Stars stage, he received a Golden Buzzer during his Audition for his soulful cover of “The Sound of Silence” by Simon & Garfunkel. Ultimately, he placed in the Top 11 during the All-Stars Finale.
