Why Gwen Stefani Used Her Only Steal on the 'Ridiculously' Talented Sasha Hurtado
This was a tough Battle.
Sasha Hurtado and Devix from Camila Cabello's team on The Voice gave one of the most interesting Battles we've seen this season. The twosome performed "Electric Feel" by MGMT, and while by the end it seemed like Devix was the winner, the Coaches didn't want to discount Hurtado.
"Sasha, you have such a beautiful range in your voice. I loved how you were able to be so calm and patient showing off your vocal," Gwen Stefani told Hurtado.
Blake Shelton then added, "I feel like Sasha, she just needs a minute here to start mowing people down because she has this voice and this way of performing and her attack vocally that you just get the feeling that she's about the erupt. It's that extra bit of confidence, that one moment with the right song for everyone to go, 'Whoa!'"

That seemed to be the takeaway of the Battle. Even Hurtado's Coach, Cabello, said, "With the right song, I think that you could shine more because I think you have a ridiculous amount of talent and a ridiculous amount of potential."
With this, Cabello chose Devix as the winner—but Stefani stepped in and used her Steal on Hurtado. It's clear the talk about Hurtado not fully reaching her potential yet got to the "Hollaback Girl" singer.
"[Your Battles performance] was just too good," Stefani said about Stealing Hurtado. "That shows me you just need a little bit of love to just push you in the right direction. And it's 'gonna be really fun to do that."
Will this change-up bring Hurtado the win? To find out, watch The Voice on NBC Mondays and Tuesdays at 8/7c and next day on Peacock.
