Girl Named Tom Just Had an Incredible Debut at the Grand Ole Opry
The crowd loved them!
The Voice Season 21 winners celebrated a very special milestone in October 2022. The folk trio Girl Named Tom, which consists of siblings Bekah, Caleb, and Joshua Liechty, performed at the legendary country music venue the Grand Ole Opry in Nashville, Tennessee on October 21, 2022. There, they sang some original songs, including “This Too Shall Pass.”
In a video posted to the Grand Ole Opry's Instagram page, the group said they were both “honored” and “nervous” to step foot on such a historical stage. “To be a part of that is so wild,” Josh said.
Unsurprisingly, their performance went incredibly, with the group receiving a standing ovation at one point.
“Season 21 winners of The Voice @girlnamedtom stepped into the historic circle for the first time and received a standing ovation!” the Grand Ole Opry captioned on their official Instagram account, showing a cheering audience.
Girl Named Tom wasn’t the only well-received appearance The Voice has had with the Grand Ole Opry recently. Coach Gwen Stefani joined her husband, fellow Coach Blake Shelton, this September with her debut at the same venue, and received not one but two standing ovations!
