The Lopez vs Lopez Trailer Is Finally Here

The Lopez vs Lopez trailer has finally arrived, people! As the series premiere quickly approaches, fans were eager for a peek into NBC's newest sitcom starring comedic legend George Lopez and his real-life daughter, Mayan Lopez. Fortunately, it was well worth the wait.

According to NBC Lopez vs Lopez is,"a working-class family comedy about dysfunction, reconnection, and all the pain and joy in between." The show presents a dramatized version of George and Mayan's father-daughter relationship, set against the backdrop of a uniquely relatable family structure.

In addition to George and Mayan, the official trailer features Selenis Leyva (who portrays Mayan's mother and George's ex wife) and Brice Gonzalez (who plays Mayan and her boyfriend's 5-year-old son). 

The trailer teases the exploration of some hot-button issues surrounding culture, identity, and the non-traditional ways families support one another. The first-look, below, also hints at the generational divide as it relates to parenting within a multi-cultural family—all filtered through the lens of George and Mayan's playful brand of humor. 

Lopez vs Lopez will most definitely deliver in the comedic department, but George also hopes the show will inspire audiences to come together and set aside their differences. “Hopefully, people who watch get motivated to mend some fences,” George previously told TV Insider.
