On August 6, Keys uploaded the sweetest footage of Taylor Swift giving 8-year-old Genesis a kiss on the cheek before he shows her a bracelet. We then catch a glimpse of Swift giving the young boy a hug, and in another sweet moment, Keys gives Genesis a piggyback ride while they both rock out to Swift performing "Look What You Made Me Do."
Alicia Keys Takes son Genesis to Taylor Swift's Era's Tour
All were candid moments from the night the former Voice Coach (Season 11, 12, and 14) took her son to Swift's L.A. stop of her celebrated Era's tour.
"Big love to @taylorswift for your big beautiful spirit that makes everyone feel loved!" Keys wrote in a caption. "Genesis adores u."
For the highlight of the post, Keys read a special note Swift gave to Genesis. "Gen - hi my friend. I was so excited when I heard you were coming tonight. I hope you have so much fun at the show, and I'll be waving at you. Love,Taylor," the sentimental letter read.
"I'm gonna frame it!" an overjoyed Genesis exclaimed. "Thank you Taylor, I loved your show, and I'm happy that I got to meet you again!" he said.

In December 2021, Keys gave the best shoutout to Genesis on his seventh birthday. The slew of snapshots showed the boy when he was just a toddler, including some adventurous pictures of him playing with a toy car.
"My beautiful son Genesis!! Happy Birthday beautiful soul!!" Keys gushed in the caption.
She continued: "I got you for life!! I love everything about you!! Your silly, your serious, your outrageous, your strength, your funny, your honestly, your intelligence, your wisdom!! Your EVERYTHING!!!! You are incredible!! May every year bring you closer to your unstoppable greatness!! I love you young king!!" the proud mama wrote.

Keys and her husband, rapper Swizz Beats, wed in 2010 and welcomed their first child, a boy named Egypt, later that year. Four years later, they welcomed their second son Genesis.
“Being a parent has made me more open, more connected to myself, more happy, and more creative,” the "If I Ain't Got You" singer told People. “I’m more discerning in what I do and how I do it. It’s just made me a better person all the way around.”
She continued: “What’s been surprisingly easy is just how natural parenthood feels. I feel great about how easily I’ve fallen into the role. I love it!”
However, parenthood hasn't come without some challenges. "What’s been surprisingly hard about becoming a mom is being away from him,” she said, referring to Egypt. “and trying to find that magical balance for everything, which I kind of expected.”
