That's right, Ruby Leigh joined fellow finalists Huntley, Jacquie Roar, Lila Forde, and Mara Justine to compete for a shot at The Voice Season 24 glory, marking yet another in a long line of achievements this season. So, in celebration of Leigh's finals qualification, let's take a look back how she got here.

Did Ruby Leigh win The Voice Season 24?

Ruby Leigh came close, but in the end placed second behind winner Huntley in the season finale of The Voice Season 24.

Ruby Leigh's Season 24 Journey

Hailing from the tiny town of Foley, Missouri, Ruby Leigh took The Voice by storm in the Blind Auditions, where she yodeled flawlessly to the Country and Western classic "I Wanna Be a Cowboy's Sweetheart." A country music fan since the age of 9, according to her official NBC biography, Leigh previously performed with the likes of Vince Gill and Johnny Lee, and by the time her inaugural The Voice performance was over she had the ear of another country music legend, Reba McEntire.

The Queen of Country immediately connected with Leigh, even yodeling with her after the audition was over. Leigh enthusiastically signed on to McEntire's team, and hasn't looked back since. In the fourth round of the Battles, Leigh proved her power once again with a win over fellow contestant Al Boogie while singing Dolly Parton's hit "Jolene," then moved on to the Knockouts. In that round of the competition, she once again kept her perfect record intact with a win over fellow Team Reba singers Rachele Nguyen and Ms. Monet, thanks to a cover of another country standard, "Blue."

Ruby Leigh from Playoffs to Lives on The Voice

In the Playoffs, Leigh once again shined with a cover of the Linda Ronstadt classic "Long, Long Time," advancing to the Live Shows. In the first round of the Live Shows, as part of the Top 12, she won one of the coveted public vote slots thanks to a cover of Cee Cee Chapman's "You Lie." Then, in the Semifinals, she once again earned a public vote victory, advancing as one of the top four vote-earners thanks to a cover of John Denver's "Take Me Home, Country Roads."

While other The Voice contestants have often bounced around a little bit, earning Saves and Steals on their way to Playoff and Lives glory, Leigh remained one of the vocalists in Season 24 who's stuck with her original Coach from the very beginning. She maintained a perfect record going into the Finals, which made her a very strong contender, taking her to a Top 2 finish behind eventual winner Huntley.
