See Reba McEntire, John Legend, Gwen Stefani, & Niall Horan Cover an Eagles Classic

Niall Horan, John Legend, Gwen Stefani, and Reba McEntire — a.k.a The Voice Season 24 Coaches — really knocked "Take It Easy" out of the park.

By Jackie Manno

The Voice Season 24 Coaches just totally nailed a '70s classic together.

How to Watch

Watch the Season 26 premiere of The Voice on Monday, September 23 at 8/7c on NBC and next day on Peacock.

Niall Horan, Reba McEntire, John Legend, and Gwen Stefani all sang a show-stopping rendition of "Take It Easy" by The Eagles ahead of The Voice Season 24 premiere. During their performance, Horan handled the introduction lyrics, proving his versatility by singing in a slight country twang. Legend then joined onstage, singing with gusto. Stefani followed, crooning in a heavenly tone, before McEntire took over, singing with an exciting rasp.

They all pulled off a perfect harmony during the chorus before singing in unison for the second verse. For the outro, they hit some seamless high notes and riffs together, making it look easy.

About "Take it Easy" by The Eagles

Released in 1972 as the band's first single from their self-titled debut album, "Take it Easy" has become one of the band's signature tunes to date. It reached the number-12 position on the U.S. Billboard Hot 100, and in 2019, Rolling Stone listed it as the second best Eagles song. "From its wind-in-your-sails intro to its catchphrase title, the Eagles’ first Top 20 hit embodied the band’s mellow vibe," the outlet wrote.
