Peter Rosalita Returned to AGT and Wowed the Judges With His Outstanding Voice
He went the distance for sure! Watch America's Got Talent: All-Stars Mondays at 8/7c on NBC.
Eleven-year-old singer Peter Rosalita made a much-anticipated return on AGT: All-Stars to show off his amazing voice.
Rosalita made it to the Semi-Finals of America’s Got Talent during Season 16 in 2021, with his Audition going viral. ‘’Being on America’s Got Talent changed my life. Now that I’m back, I feel more confident,’’ he said. ‘’This is my second chance."
For his Audition for America’s Got Talent: All-Stars, he sang ‘’Go the Distance’’ from Hercules. The song started out with some gentle piano chords as he sang in a low, soft tone. ‘’I have often dreamed of a far off place, where a hero's welcome would be waiting for me, where the crowds would cheer, when they see my face, and a voice keeps saying this is where I'm meant to be,’’ he crooned while Host Terry Crews clapped.
Then, the drums kicked in as the song picked up in intensity. ‘’And I’ll go the distance and my journey is complete,’’ he sang before pulling off an impressive riff.
Then, time for the epic key change. ‘’Like a shooting star, I can go the distance, I don’t care how far, I can go the distance, ‘til I find my hero’s welcome waiting in your arms,’’ he belted his heart out.
When he was done, the amazing performance got a standing ovation from all three Judges. And when asked how nervous he was, he even revealed that he had a sore throat at the time of his Audition.
‘’Peter, you are a star in the making. I mean, you really came here to fight. And I love that about you,’’ Heidi Klum gushed.
‘’Well done, young man, really well done,’’ Howie Mandel added, saying that the performance was top-notch even without knowing about his nerves and sore throat.
When it was Simon Cowell’s turn to speak, he commented that Rosalita’s voice has gotten even better since he’s heard him last! ‘’That might be enough to put you to the Final,’’ he praised.
