Why Niall Horan Says Kelly Clarkson's His Biggest Competition on The Voice 2023

Now that Season 22 of The Voice has come to a thrilling end, with country singer Bryce Leatherwood taking home the glory, many fans are looking forward to what's to come in 2023. The Voice will return with a brand new lineup of Artists and a bit of a red chair remix. Coach Niall Horan is among the Season 23 Coach newcomers, and he's already setting his sights on the prize by navigating the competition. 

In an interview with NBC Insider, Horan revealed he already knows which of the Coaches he thinks is his biggest threat for the Season 23 victory. "Ooh, my biggest competition this year is definitely Kelly [Clarkson]. We have very similar tastes in music, same kind of taste in voices. Yeah, I think she's going to be a massive threat to me," Horan said before adding, "But you never know, I could win the thing." (Clarkson and Horan will be joined by Blake Shelton and Chance the Rapper, filling out the Season 23 Coaches lineup.) 

"I love finding new talent online and things, so I really wanted to get involved and find a new crop of talent that we can nurture and make careers of," Horan continued..."I'm excited to win this thing. I've got an unbelievable team of ridiculous talent. I didn't hit my buzzer every time, because I was being super picky about who I wanted on my team. I wanted all different types of singers, all different types of genres, just wanted character."
