The Voice Coach Blake Shelton has won plenty of awards and accolades over the course of his long career as a country music superstar, including six Academy of Country Music awards and 10 Country Music Association awards. He’s sold 52 million singles, 13 million albums, and has nearly 11 billion global streams in addition to his 28 chart-topping country singles (including the duets “Happy Anywhere” and “Nobody But You” with his wife and fellow Voice Coach Gwen Stefani).

Season 23 was his final season on The Voice, which he won nine times.

Shelton got his start in country music by moving to Nashville just after he graduated from high school in 1994. Within four years, he'd signed a production deal with the music publishing hours Sony/ATV/Tree. In 2001, he released his first single, "Austin," which also became his first number-one song on the Billboard Hot Country Singles & Tracks chart. An eponymous album soon followed, as did two more top-20 songs: "All Over Me" and "Ol' Red."

All told, Shelton has released 12 albums. He joined The Voice as a Coach in its inaugural season in 2011, and is the longest-serving and most-winning Coach to date. 

With that kind of career, it's no surprise that he's also won dozens of awards — especially from the organizations that prioritize and honor country music.

Shelton has won 10 awards from the Country Music Association and been nominated for 27.

2010: Male Vocalist of the Year and Vocal Event of the Year for "Hillbilly Bone"

Shelton and The Voice Season 14 Team Blake mentor Trace Atkins collaborated on the song "Hillbilly Bone," which was released as a single at the end of 2009 and on Shelton's EP of the same name in 2010. It reached number one on Billboard's country charts. (The Vocal Event of the Year Award honors one-off collaborations.)

He released a second EP, All About Tonight, later in 2010 — his 18th single — and his first greatest hits album, Loaded: The Best of Blake Shelton, at the end of that year.

2011: Male Vocalist of the Year

Shelton returned to the CMAs stage as Male Vocalist of the Year in 2011 following the release of his album Red River Blue and two of its four chart-topping singles: "Honey Bee" and "God Gave Me You" (as seen above).

2012: Entertainer of the Year, Male Vocalist of the Year, and Song of the Year for "Over You"

It was a three-peat for Shelton in 2012, when he took home not only Male Vocalist of the Year for the third year in a row, but Entertainer of the Year. It was the year he not only released his second two chart-topping singles from Red River Blue, "Drink On It," and "Over," as seen above, but also his Christmas album, Cheers, It's Christmas.

He also took home a CMA for Song of the Year when his then-wife, Miranda Lambert, won for the song they co-wrote and she sang, "Over You."

2013: Album of the Year for Based on a True Story... and Male Vocalist of the Year

Shelton took home his first CMA award for Album of the Year after releasing Based on a True Story..., with its chart-topping singles "Sure Be Cool If You Did" (see in the video above), "Boys 'Round Here" (featuring the Pistol Annies and friends), "Mine Would Be You," and "Doin' What She Likes."

He also walked off with Male Vocalist of the Year for the fourth year in a row.

2014: Male Vocalist of the Year

After releasing his ninth studio album, Bringing Back the Sunshine, in September 2014, Shelton scored another four number one hits: "Neon Light" and the duet "Lonely Tonight" with Ashley Monroe in 2014 (seen in the video above); and then "Sangria" and "Gonna" in 2015.

As a result of that album, he took home Male Vocalist of the Year for the fifth year in a row.

2019: Single of the Year for "God's Country"

In 2019, Shelton released the compilation album Fully Loaded: God's Country with three new tracks: "God's Country" (seen above), which earned him the CMA for Single of the Year; the duet "Hell Right" with Trace Atkins (with whom he'd shared one of his first CMA awards); and the duet "Nobody But You" with then-girlfriend and fellow Voice coach Stefani. (It's one of four duets the couple has made together to date.)

Shelton has won six ACMAs — including one for his role on The Voice — and been nominated for 24 competitive awards, including for a number of songs he wrote for other artists.

2010: Vocal Event of the Year for "Hillbilly Bone"

He first won in 2010, scoring Vocal Event of the Year honor for the Trace Atkins collaboration, "Hillbilly Bone," that also netted him his first CMA award. 

2012: Male Vocalist of the Year

He took home Male Vocalist of the Year in 2012 following the release of his critically-acclaimed 2011 album Red River Blue, which featured the four number-one singles "Honey Bee," "God Gave Me You," "Over," and "Drink on It" (seen in the video above).

2013: Gene Weed Special Achievement Award and Song of the Year

The Academy of Country Music honored Shelton in 2013 with the Gene Weed Special Achievement Award "for bringing attention to country music through NBC's The Voice" — just two years after the show premiered with Shelton as a Coach.

Shelton that year shared Song of the Year honors for the Miranda Lambert tune he co-authored, "Over You."

2020: Single of the Year for "God's Country"

His most recent ACMA was Single of the Year in 2020 for “God’s Country,” for which he also received a CMA.
