Wearing a minimalist black getup and standing in front of warm golden lighting, the song started out with Clarkson singing gently over some soft, slow piano notes. “The whole world just fades away and the only thing I hear is the beating of your heart,” she crooned with emotion.
Then, when the chorus hit, the drums, guitars, and backup vocals kicked in, aligning perfectly with Clarkson’s powerful tone. “Isn’t that the way that love’s supposed to be? Just breathe” she belted, giving us goosebumps.
The song then went full circle to conclude with some subdued, airy notes. “I can feel the magic floating in the air. Being with you gets me that way,” she sighed effortlessly. Kelly Clarkson’s cover of “Breathe” was so stunning, that it literally took our breath away!
