Keke Palmer Receives Best Game Show Host Emmy Nomination for Password
She totally nails it as Host!
Keke Palmer was just nominated for another Emmy Award!
On July 12, it was announced that Palmer is up for the Outstanding Host For A Game Show award for the 2023 Emmys for her work on NBC's Password. The nomination is much-deserved, as Palmer is a total natural in her hosting role and helps bring the show to life.
"I’m really feeling personality-hosting and producing, because I’m really feeling me and myself more than portraying someone else. Even though my personality in hosting is still a performative aspect of who I am, it’s a little bit closer to who I am than playing a character or a role," she told The Washington Post of the experience.
Keke Palmer's 2023 Emmy nomination
This is Palmer's second Emmy nomination, as she was nominated (and won!) in 2021 for her TV series Turnt Up With The Taylors, where she played multiple roles on a fictionalized take on a reality show family.
Congratulations, Keke!

The second Emmy nomination hasn't been the only exciting event in Palmer's television career lately: She made her Host debut on Saturday Night Live in December 2022. Not only did she surprise audiences by announcing that she was pregnant, she had a great time while rehearsing for her sketches as well.
"I love doing sketch. I love comedy. I love playing around, I love collaborating. And that's everything that the show is about. To meet all the cast members and the writers and get to have fun with them is the most exciting thing about the experience," she told NBC's Mark Barger.
Based on the 1961 game show of the same name, Password revolves around pairing celebrities with Contestants as they use subtle hints to try and guess a mysterious word, a.k.a the password. Premiering August 9, 2022, it was also featured as a segment during The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon. Fittingly, Password is executive produced by Jimmy Fallon.

Speaking of Jimmy Fallon, it was also announced that his game show That's My Jam is up for the Outstanding Game Show award for the 2023 Emmys. That's My Jam is a musical game show that involves celebrity guests competing for a charity of their choice by engaging in a range of music, dance, and trivia-based challenges. Kelly Clarkson, Blake Shelton, and John Legend are just a few of the A-listers who have appeared on the show.
