See Jon Seda's 29-Year-Old Lookalike Son Playing a Younger Him on This NBC Show
The La Brea actor and former Chicago P.D. star's son Jon Seda, Jr. was a guest star on the sci fi series.

Seda's 29-year-old son, Jon Seda Jr., played a younger version of Seda's La Brea character, Sam, in Season 2, Episode 6 of the show, "Lazarus". In the episode, Sam's daughter Riley is stuck in 1988, and approaches the young version of her dad to give him a life-saving warning to flee Santa Monica.
"People are always coming up to me telling me how great it is working alongside my dad, so I try my best to follow his example. So then maybe one day people will say the same about me," Seda Jr. told ET. "Although we weren’t in the same scene, he still made time to check up on me like he always has and I’m glad to have the opportunity to spend time with him like that. There’s nothing wrong with learning from the best!"
Last November, Seda posted photos of him and his son on the set of the show. In the first snapshot, they stand together on a beach while smiling and pointing at each other. Then, the two actors posed behind the scenes while wearing some sunglasses.
"So great working with my son!" Seda captioned the post.

On La Brea, Seda plays Dr. Samuel Velez, a former veteran and Los Angeles resident who fell into the sinkhole that led him to 10,000 BC. Velez is accompanied by his daughter Riley, an aspiring med student. Throughout the show, the two attempt to aid other distressed or injured characters.

Seda played the character of Antonio Dawson on Seasons 1-6 of Chicago P.D. Dawson was the right hand man to Sgt. Hank Voight (Jason Beghe), often stepping up to take Voight's leadership position when necessary. A fun fact? Seda Jr. revealed he was a stand-in for his father on Chicago P.D.'s set.
Seda reprised the role of Dawson in Season's 1-7 of Chicago Fire. In the show, Dawson is the brother of Chicago Fire's Gabriela Dawson (Monica Raymund), and the ex brother-in-law of Matthew Casey (Jesse Spencer).

Jon Seda on Law & Order: Special Victims Unit
In a special crossover moment in the NBC universe, Dawson's character also appeared in an episode of Law & Order: Special Victims Unit. In the Season 17 episode titled "National Manhunt," Dawson assists Olivia Benson (Mariska Hargitay) in investigating a man who claims he left remains of a body in Chicago.
